Mayor of Gračanica municipality, Srđan Popović, handed over a valuable microbiological equipment to the laboratory in Donja Gušterica.
Mayor of Gračanica municipality, Srđan Popović, accompanied by the director of the municipal health department, Aleksandar Popović, visited the Health Center in Donja Gušterica today and delivered a valuable equipment for a microbiological laboratory on that occasion.
The medical institution in Donja Gušterica got devices for: CRP analysis, INR and biochemistry analyzer for biochemical analyzes.
“One of the priorities of the Municipality of Gračanica will continue to be the improvement of the work of all health care institutions. Today, we delivered apparatuses that will improve the laboratory work of the healthcare institution and I can point out we will continue to help the healthcare system, because our people deserve good conditions for treatment. The biggest priority is the construction of a hospital in our municipality and we are actively working on the soonest possible beginning of the construction”, Popović said.
Dr. Nebojša Milovanović thanked for the valuable equipment and said it would mean a lot to both the healthcare institution and patients.
“We have been without these devices for a long time and our patients were deprived of certain laboratory analyzes. By donating and using the equipment, our patients will receive a much better quality health service, a wide range of laboratory and biochemical analyzes, and most importantly, we will improve health in our municipality. With this donation, the local self-government has shown that health is one of the pillars of its development”, Dr. Milovanović said.
The Director of Health and Social Welfare of the Municipality of Gračanica, Aleksandar Popović points out this department is daily trying to improve the health situation, and today’s donation is aimed at improving primary health care.
“Using these apparatuses will reduce manual work and time of analysis, but it will also qualitatively improve service to patients”, Popović pointed out.
Prof. Dr. Bratislav Lazić emphasizes that the fact that someone think about health institutions, as the Municipality of Gračanica does, always gives a thrill.
“We have recently received very high quality devices, which enable us not only to do our job, but also to make a qualitative shift, because these are devices that monitor the latest medical events and current medical challenges. Such cooperation can only bring great success”, Lazić said.
