Twenty American students from the University of Denmark, accompanied by professors, visited the Municipality of Gračanica today. After the talks with local representatives, they visited the Gračanica Monastery.
In the hall of the Municipal Assembly, Director of Urbanism and Spatial Planning, Dejan Jovanović and Director of the Tourist Organization of Gračanica, Boban Petrović welcomed the students and answered to their questions.
They familiarized them with the structure and functioning of the local self-government, the work of important municipal services and tourism potential.
On the other hand, the students were most interested in the challenges facing the Municipality of Gračanica, the economic and security situation, interethnic relations, the process of returning of displaced persons, development capacities, as well as cooperation with the civil sector.
Students from the University of Denmark are visiting the Balkans as part of the student exchange program, and during their visit to Kosovo, they expressed their wish to visit the Municipality of Gračanica.
