On the occasion of Easter, the biggest Christian holiday, the Municipality of Gračanica distributed eggs to 50 socially vulnerable families.
Celebration of the Easter begins on Friday (Good Friday), when the Easter eggs are painted in the largest number of Serbian families.
On this occasion, the Municipality of Gračanica provided eggs for 50 socially vulnerable families, which dying represent the inevitable part of the Easter tradition.
“As we are going to meet the greatest Christian holiday, in this way, we wanted to wish happy holiday to families and ensure it is celebrated in accordance with the tradition, in the family environment, joyfully and cheerfully”, as said from the local self-government.

Easter is the greatest Christian holiday because the essence of Christian teaching signifies Christ’s resurrection from the dead, as the victory of faith and life over death.
