Almost all graveyards in the territory of Gračanica municipality are cleared and grass is mowed shortly before the Saturday of Souls, which is marked on Saturday. The arrangement of public and green surfaces continues in the coming days.
According to the Director of the Public Utility Service Department, Vladica Trajković, the work on the arrangement of the majority of Orthodox cemeteries has been completed and in the following days the workers of this department will continue on the arrangement of green and public areas in the territory of Gračanica municipality.
“We cleared most of the cemeteries from grass and weeds, and today and tomorrow we will finish our work in order to allow our citizens to visit the graves of their relatives and friends on the Saturday of Souls. Rainfalls that have fallen almost every day in the past have made it impossible for us to gradually work on the arrangement of public spaces. However, with a better weather, we immediately engaged all available teams and most of the work was completed”, Trajković said.
He says that the largest number of parks has been arranged and the teams are in the field and will continue their work in the following days.
