Four educational institutions have today received a new
inventory from the Municipality of Gračanica to equip
classrooms and premises. The equipment was delivered by
Mayor Srđan Popović and Director Brankica Nićić.
Before the beginning of the new school year, new benches,
chairs, blackboards, desks, lecture desks and cabinets were
delivered to elementary schools "Miladin Mitić" in Laplje Selo and
"Knez Lazar" in Donja Gušterica, Agricultural school in Lepina
and Preschool Institution "Naša radost" from Ugljare.
250 students' chairs, over 70 desks, 10 blackboards, 6 lecture
desks and other office furniture were allocated.
The school inventory for the furnishing of classrooms and
premises was handed over to the principals of these educational
institutions by the Mayor of Gračanica municipality, Srđan
Popović and the Education Director, Brankica Nićić.
According to Popović, the Municipality of Gračanica continues to
invest in education and providing better conditions for teaching.

The school principals thanked the Municipality of Gračanica and
the municipal education department for what they said was a
valuable donation.
"The existing inventory is outdated, so we will adequately equip at
least three classrooms with these new one", says Ljubiša
Karadžić, Principal of the Elementary School “Miladin Mitić”.
The Principal of the Elementary School "Knez Lazar", Dragan
Maksimović, who said he would equip four classrooms with the
donated inventory, also agreed with him.
After the school inventory was delivered, Mayor Popović and
Director Nićić talked with the principals about their needs, all with
the aim of the smooth start of the new school year.
Then, the representatives of the Municipality of Gračanica visited
the construction of the Secondary School Center in Laplje Selo to
see the intensity of the construction works. They also visited the
Elementary School "Kralj Milutin", which is in the process of
renovating the interior of the school, as well as the construction of
additional classrooms.
Upon completion of the work, we will fully equip the school in
Gračanica with a new school inventory

Popović also said that the Municipality of Gračanica provided
school supplies for all the first-graders in the local self-
government this year, which would be handed to them at the
beginning of the school year.
On the occasion of the beginning of the new school year, Mayor
Popović will hold a meeting with the principals of the preschools,
primary and secondary schools.
