Mayor of Gračanica municipality, Srđan Popović received
today a delegation of Italian Carabinieri led by Colonel
Ruggiero Capodivento, with whom he discussed, among
other things, the current security situation.
Mayor Popović told the Italian colonel that the current situation
was calm and stable and that there were no security issues.
Popović reiterated that the Municipality of Gračanica had good
cooperation with KFOR, especially with Italian Carabinieri, with
which several projects had been implemented. He stressed that
he hoped to continue the cooperation at the same level.
Popović reminded that the field for small sports at the Elementary
School “Kralj Milutin” was renovated at the end of April thanks to
this cooperation, and they also assisted the hospital in Gračanica
several times. According to Mayor Popović, today they discussed
the possibility of implementing another joint project, most probably
in education.
Popović and Colonel Capodivento agreed that for the sake of
security and continued co-operation, regular meetings and
contacts should be continued.
