Public debates on the Draft Budget for the coming year, i.e. the
Medium-Term Budgetary Framework 2020-2022 were held in
Donja Gušterica and Kišnica.
The public debates on the budget have been held in accordance
with regulations that envisage greater public participation in its
adoption.
About fifty citizens from Donja and Gornja Gušterica, Dobrotin
and Livađe participated in the public debate in Donja Gušterica.
Director of Finance and Budget, Slaviša Ničić, familiarized the
attendees with the Draft Budget for 2020. The budget for the
coming year will be € 8,101,328, and compared to the 2019
budget, it will increase by 8.90% or by € 661,149. € 2,545,217 or
31.42% was earmarked for capital expenditures.
The villagers of these four villages then had the opportunity to
make their proposals and suggestions. Most of the requests were
for rehabilitation of existing and construction of new infrastructure.
They requested the arrangement of riverbeds, asphalting and
naming streets, construction of sidewalks, rehabilitation of
sewage, and connection of new users to the network,
arrangement of public and park areas, renovation and installation
of new public lighting, equipping of nurseries, laying of speed
bumps and the like.
A public debate on the budget was also held in Kišnica for the
Albanian population of Kišnica and Sušica. The requests of the
villagers in these places also related to the rehabilitation and
asphalting of local roads, construction of footpaths, rehabilitation
of public lighting. Albanians from Sušica have defined paving the
road to the cemetery as their top priority.
The public debates were attended by the directors of municipal
departments as well as individual aldermen.
