Representatives of the Belgrade Pharmacy Institution were
guests of the Municipality of Gračanica today. They were first
received at the Mayor’s Office by the Mayor of Gračanica
municipality, Srđan Popović, and then they visited together the
outpost of the High School for Medical Professions in Lepina,
where they equipped future pharmacy technicians, in
collaboration with Galenika, with new backpacks and school
supplies.
Mayor of Gračanica municipality, Srđan Popović thanked the
Director of the Belgrade Pharmacy Institution for the visit and
gifts, and emphasized that this was only a continuation of the
cooperation between the Municipality of Gračanica, High School
for Medical Professions and the Pharmacy Belgrade.
"The students of this school have visited Belgrade recently to see
how the Pharmacy works and they had the opportunity to see the
conditions in which they work and this visit was a valuable
experience for them. We spoke with the director today to continue
this practice in the future, since education is a very important
factor in training and schooling, not to mention the importance of
the health system in Kosovo and the survival of our people. We
need educated people who will stay here to live and who will help
and heal our people", Popović said, reiterating it was necessary to
nurture and maintain such ties and cooperation.
Belgrade Pharmacy Director, Jasminka Bjeletić thanked the hosts
for their hospitality and stated that the institution she managed
had always been ready for help and cooperation.
"Our modest donation is only help in their further education and to
start their new working life as high-school students because they
are already on the path and tomorrow they will be citizens who
will maintain health care in this territory in Kosovo. It is very
prestigious to be a healthcare professional today, especially a
pharmacy technician or pharmacist, and we will help with all that
we can. I also invite those students who have never visited us to
do so. You can always rely on Belgrade and that connection
should never cease", Bjeletić said.
Miodrag Živić, the Director of the High School for Medical
Professions, which is attended by 330 students, stated that this
visit meant a lot to them, especially to future pharmacy
technicians. He thanked the guests for their help and expressed
his hope that they would visit Belgrade soon, so that the students
of the High School for Medical Professions, the future pharmacy
technicians, would become acquainted, as the previous
generation, with the work of the Belgrade Pharmacy Institution.
Representatives of the Belgrade Pharmacy Institution also visited
the Clinical Hospital Center in Gračanica during the day, where
they also brought presents.
