Donation of the Slovenian KFOR to vulnerable families

Slovenian KFOR provided four electric stoves and a boiler for five
socially disadvantaged families in Gračanica municipality.
This assistance to families was delivered today at the Red Cross
premises in Gračanica.
The Commander of the Slovenian KFOR contingent, Lieutenant
Colonel Jure Krejač, emphasized this was not the first time they
were helping people in Kosovo.
“Thanks to the cooperation with the Red Cross, we have provided
four electric cookers and a water heater for the five most
vulnerable families today. In this way, we wanted to make life
easier for them and improve their conditions. Slovenian KFOR is
open to initiatives and we are ready to implement proposals or
projects, and we will continue to do so. The Red Cross and the
Municipality of Gračanica are helping us with this", Krejač said.
Red Cross Secretary, Sveta Živić said that there had always been
good cooperation with KFOR, and that was not the first
assistance.
"The Red Cross is open to organizations and people who want to
help. We meet with everyone, trying to help the most vulnerable
population. These appliances for five families were provided at
the initiative of Slovenian KFOR", Živić said.
Today's event was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of
Gračanica municipality, Saša Danić, who thanked the
representatives of Slovenian KFOR for helping families.

"From the very beginning, we have good cooperation with the
Slovenians. We meet regularly on security issues as well as on
project collaboration. Already now I am pleased to announce that
Slovenian KFOR will equip the kitchen of the nursery school in
Ugljare", said Danić.
According to families, today's help will mean a lot to them.
"Six of us live on minimum wage, we have a stove over twenty
years old, out of service, so this will be a great help to us", says
Snežana Ničić from Laplje Selo.
"I am a single mother with six children, we live on a family
pension and couldn't buy a stove ourselves. When you are in a
difficult situation, any help means a lot”, says Milunka Cvetković
from Gračanica.
