The Lexington band held a concert on the occasion of Gračanica
Municipality Day last night on the plateau in the center of
Gračanica.
The performance of one of the most popular bands in Serbia and
the region attracted, as expected, a large number of people,
especially the youth. The plateau in the center of Gračanica was
full of audience who, along with the band, played and sang their
greatest hits, such as: “Dobro da nije veće zlo”, “Dođi ove noći”,
“U srce udaraj”…, but also hits from other local performers.
Bojan Vasković, the frontman of the Lexington band, wished the
citizens of Gračanica to always be happy and singing, regardless
of the environment in which they lived.
"We performed here in 2014, remembering Gračanica by a good
audience and carrying warm memories from this area", Bojan
said.
Last night's concert was of a humanitarian nature, with voluntary
contributions raising money for the treatment of three-year-old
Strahinja Milenković from Donja Gušterica who is deaf from birth.
There was also a touching and romantic scene at the concert, a
guy Vuja proposed to his girlfriend. After saying "yes" the
audience applauded the couple in love.
Local musicians, the Vuja band, performed as a warm-up group.
The concert was sponsored by the Municipality of Gračanica.
