The meeting on the importance of the construction of water supply in the Municipality of Gracanica, Mayor of Gracanica Branimir Stojanovic held today with Alan Brown, “Dorsch Gruppe” Team Leader for Rural Water and Sanitation Support Programme Kosovo Phase V.
Brown brought word to Stojanovic that the Swiss Embassy recognized the importance of this project and that the dynamic plan of the project realization with all the concomitant deadlines will be passed on the 25th of August.
Mayor of the Municipality of Gracanica Branimir Stojanovic said that by the realization of this project the problem of water supply in the Skulanevo, Suvi Do, Lepina and Radevo villages will be finally solved, where the locals, so far, used water from wells, which is often chemically and bacteriologically defective due to frequent precipitations.
Apart from the construction of the regional water supply system by which Skulanevo, Lepina and Suvi Do villages will mainly benefit, the reconstruction of water supply network in Batuse had also been predicted within this project.
The problem of drinking water in Suvi Do, Lepina, Skulanevo and Radevo will be solved in the next year since the Swiss Embassy in Pristina approved the Municipality of Gracanica a project for the construction of a regional water supply. The water supply system in Batuse will be reconstructed within the same project.
