Children aged from10 to 15 from all over Kosovo were the guests of the Republic of Srpska, from 17 to 25 August. About 400 children were placed in several towns and municipalities in the Republic of Srpska. Children from Gracanica were guests in the Municipality of Bileca.
In order to visit the children from Kosovo, Deputy Mayor of Gracanica Nebojsa Milovanovic and the president of the Municipal Assembly of Gracanica Vladeta Kostic joined the visitation, where on that occasion met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Zeljka Cvijanovic.
Children from Kosovo and Metohija, accompanied by the principals and teachers from elementary schools they attend, were accommodated in the families of doctors, deans, professors, directors, politicians, priests, teachers and workers from Banja Luka, Mrkonjic Grad, Gradiska, Prnjavor, Teslic, Bileca and Gacko.
During the stay, a pleasant program was organized for the children. Beside numerous picnics there were also organized tours to Bileca, Gacko Tjentiste, the Montenegrin coast, as well as monasteries Dobricevo, Kosijarevo and Ostrog. Visits to the pools and performances were also organized, as well as cultural and artistic program .
Milovanovic said that the first contacts were made, and during the autumn we could expect a visit from the municipality of Bileca.
The organizer of the visit was Banja Luka Committee for helping the Serbs from Kosovo.
Children from Kosovo have returned from a seven-day visit to the Republic of Srpska.
