Gračanica Municipality Day, September 21, the Nativity of the
Blessed Virgin Mary, will be marked with a whole series of cultural
and sporting events from September 19 to September 21 this
year as well.
In order to provide good and high-quality events, moments for
relaxation and socializing for its citizens, the local self-government
has made every effort to satisfy the tastes of all citizens with
scheduled content, which is reflected in the performances of
eminent music artists and other cultural and sports events.
Marking the Municipal Day will begin on Thursday, September 19
with the children's carnival of the Preschool Institution "Đurđevak"
on the plateau of the Cultural Center in Gračanica. It will be
continued with volleyball, basketball and football tournaments for
elementary schools.
On the first day, September 19, at 9 pm, we will see a folklore
show and a concert by ethno singer Danica Krstić on the plateau
in front of the building of the Municipality of Gračanica.
On the second day, September 20, the program continues with
the carnival of the Preschool Institution "Sunce" in Donja
Gušterica and PI" Sunce" in Ugljare, sports tournaments in
volleyball, basketball and football for high schools, the art colony,
a children's play at the Cultural Center in Gračanica.
A music spectacle, a concert by the popular Lexington band will
be organized for all citizens on the same day at 9pm on the
plateau in front of the building of the Municipality of Gračanica.
On the third day of marking, September 21, the Municipal Day,
the Divine Liturgy will be served in the Gračanica Monastery, after
which the religious procession will be organized on the streets of
Gračanica.
A Solemn Academy will be held at 8 pm at the Cultural Center in
Gračanica, followed by a concert by the Grand Tamboura
Orchestra of RTV Vojvodina.
