The first public debate on the Draft Budget for the coming year –
that is to say, the Medium-Term Budgetary Framework 2020-
2022, was held in the hall of the Municipal Assembly of
Gračanica.
The first debate was opened by the Mayor of Gračanica
municipality, Srđan Popović, who emphasized that public debates
were organized so that all citizens had the opportunity to present
their proposals, remarks and suggestions and participate in
budgeting for the coming year.
"We will strive to develop all the places equally, but there are
always priorities. Next year, we plan to invest a lot of funds in
solving the problem of pollution of the river Gračanka through
Laplje Selo, which should be understood by the citizens of other
places as well", Popović said.
According to the Chairman of the Municipal Assembly of
Gračanica, Ljubiša Karadžić, public debates were organized
publicly and transparently, and the Assembly had created an
Action Plan for their maintenance, whose schedule can be viewed
here.
The first, out of nine planned public debates, was attended by
representatives of the Local Councils of all places in Gračanica
municipality, as well as representatives of municipal departments.
Village representatives will inform and invite citizens to attend
debates in their places.
Finance Director Slaviša Ničić presented the budget for this year.
At the first presentation, Director of Urbanism, Dejan Jovanović,
presented projects implemented in the past 2018 and started and
implemented projects this year.
The second public debate will be held today at the premises of
the Elementary School “Ugljare” at 7 pm for the residents of
Ugljare and Batuse. This will be an opportunity for the residents of
these two places to make proposals for new projects or solving
problems on existing infrastructure projects, in order to be
budgeted for next year.
