A public debate on the budget for 2020 was held today in the hall
of the Municipality of Gračanica for representatives of the Informal
Group of Women. The debate was also attended by
representatives of the Youth Council.
The public debate was opened by the Chairman of the Municipal
Assembly of Gračanica, Ljubiša Karadžić, who thanked the
Informal Group of Women for renewing their work and that it
would be of great importance in the decision-making process in
the coming period.
The draft budget for 2020 was presented to the attendees by the
Finance Director Slaviša Ničić, who said that this year as well, the
budget was divided into three main categories, but this year, as in
previous ones, the money for gender budgeting would be
determined.
On behalf of the Informal Group of Women, the attendees were
greeted by Chairwoman Lidija Tokić, who said that the Informal
Group of Women had ideas and expected support for their
implementation.
Zorica Nedeljković, Deputy Chairwoman of the Informal Group of
Women and Alderwoman in the Municipal Assembly of
Gračanica, said at the public debate on the budget that this group
needed institutional support and hoped for good results.
The public debate was also attended by representatives of non-
governmental organizations, including the President of Business
Women Association of Laplje Selo, Gordana Đorić, as well as the
representative of the Association “Hand to Hand”, Nevenka
Rikalo.
The problem of the youth and the beginning of the construction of
the Youth Center in Gračanica were also discussed by the
representatives of the Youth Council, seeking institutional support
for the work and activities they plan in the coming period.
The final public debate on the budget of the Municipality of
Gračanica for 2020 will be held tonight at 7 pm at the Cultural
Center in Gračanica.
