The Health Center in Donja Gušterica carried out preventive
examinations of teeth in children from the first to the fourth grade
at the Elementary School “Knez Lazar” in that village today.
Preventive checkups under the slogan “Smile healthily! With smile
to victory” was carried out by the Dentistry Department with the
aim of implementing measures to protect permanent and
deciduous teeth. The action included children from the lower
grades of primary school – that is, from first to fourth grade.
On that occasion, the condition of each child's teeth was recorded
so that further steps could be taken where necessary.
During the preventive examinations, the children were pointed to
the importance of good oral health for everyday activities such as
speech and laughter. They were also shown the proper technique
of brushing their teeth.
According to the Director of the Health Center in Donja Gušterica,
Dr. Nebojša Milovanović, the action will continue tomorrow in the
outposts of the school, in Gornja Gušterica, Dobrotin and Livađe.
The action was supported by the Health Department of the
Municipality of Gračanica.
