The Preschool Institution "Naša radost" in Ugljare is officially in
use today. A new nursery school of more than 400 square meters,
which was built with the funds of the Municipality of Gračanica,
has been equipped by the city of Subotica and thus put into
operation from today.
About a hundred children from the Preschool Institution "Naša
radost" attend the new modern facility that is equipped thanks to
the leadership of the city of Subotica. The nursery school director
Ljiljana Martinović thanked the Municipality of Gračanica for the
construction of a new facility, which they now occupy after 20
years of working in a private home. She also thanked the Mayor
of Subotica Bogdan Laban for the assistance in equipping the
nursery school, pointing out that the working and living conditions
of the children were more than good today.
Mayor of Gračanica municipality, Srđan Popović, said that by
building this nursery school, the residents of Ugljare received a lot
because their children could now grow up properly and in good
conditions.
"I am also pleased that the educators were given adequate space
to educate and care for these children, to nurture them. I also
want to thank the Mayor of Subotica, Mr. Laban, for equipping this
nursery school with a donation. The cooperation between our
northernmost municipality and Gračanica municipality continues,
and I can guarantee this cooperation will become stronger and
stronger from year to year", said Popović.
Mayor of Subotica, Bogdan Laban, said the cooperation between
the two, as he said fraternal municipalities, had been continued.
"It is not accidental, but it is symbolic that the preschool institution
in Subotica is also called "Naša radost". I am happy for putting a
new facility into operation today. We have been working on the
community that is most needed by the Serbian people here, but
we are always there to support you not only in words but also in
deeds. I am sure that the Mayor of Gračanica municipality, Srđan
Popović knows what support he has from all over Serbia and the
leadership of Serbia. Let us continue to work on catholicity and
unity”, Laban said.
The newly built building of the nursery school in Ugljare covers an
area of 432 square meters and is located near the primary school
there. There are children's bedrooms, living room, kitchen with
dining area, multipurpose space and auxiliary heating room on the
ground floor, while the administration rooms are located upstairs.
Before visiting the interior of the nursery school in Ugljare, the
guests had enjoyed the children's carnival by the toddlers, which
was organized on the occasion of Gračanica Municipality Day.
