In the premises of Radio Gračanica, a meeting was held with representatives of the ROMACTED project, which aims to strengthen the commitment of the institutions, their capacities, knowledge and skills in the work on the inclusion of Roma.
The ROMACTED Program (Promoting Good Governance and Roma Empowerment at Local Level) is a joint program of the Council of Europe and the European Union.
The joint meeting, which discussed the current problems of the Roma community, was held by the Deputy Mayor of Gračanica municipality, Saša Danić, the Director of Radio Gračanica, Saša Micić, representative of the ROMACTED Program of the Council of Europe, Markos Andrade, with his associates, as well as representatives of the Roma community.
Deputy Mayor of Gračanica municipality, Saša Danić, presented the results of the local self-government in the improvement of the situation of the Roma community and creation of better living conditions to the participants.
The main topic of the meeting was one-hour show in the Romany language, which has been broadcasted once a week in the Radio Gračanica program, that is, the possibility of the show to last for two hours with the necessary financial support through the program ROMACTED. Interlocutors agreed that the regular broadcast of this show will improve the awareness of the Roma community.
