Stojanovic said: "The municipality of Gracanica, and I personally have put a great effort to draw attention to municipal leadership of Orahovac and the mayor personally on the importance of this mark, and immediately before August 21, when the board is set, we have invited them to attend that day the setting of the plaque. They have not responded to our call, so their disinterestedness, among other things, has encouraged others to remove this memorial again. By our presence and support we have given to the Association of Journalists of Serbia on 21st of August near Orahovac, the representatives of the municipality of Gracanica showed compassion with the families of the missing journalists, but also with all those, irrespective of nationality, who do not know the truth about their kidnapped friends and relatives to this day."
Mayor of the Municipality of Gracanica invites security and justice in Kosovo, to launch an investigation, which will show, among other things, "the willingness of Kosovo society to respect democratic values, especially the right to freedom."
Mayor of Gracanica Branimir Stojanovic condemned the removal of the commemorative plaque to missing journalists Ranko Perenic and Djuro Slavuj near Orahovac.
