Proposed candidates for the President of the Assembly of Gracanica Municipality were Brankica Kostic and Zivojin Marinkovic, where 14 of the present 18 committeemen voted for Brankica Kostic, and four ballots were invalid.
Former President Vladeta Kostic states in his explanation about the resignation that he resigns for personal reasons.
Kostic said: "I do not have enough time to deal with the work of the Municipal Assembly in a quality way and I think it is absolutely unfair to the institution and to you as committeemen, as well as to the citizens of the municipality of Gracanica. Certainly, I will keep the mandate because of the citizens of Gracanica Municipality and those voters whose confidence I gained."
By majority of votes at today’s meeting, the committeemen of the Assembly of Gracanica Municipality elected Brankica Kostic as new president of the Municipal Assembly. Brankica Kostic, as the president of the Municipal Assembly, replaced Vladeta Kostic, who, as he said, resigned for personal reasons.
