Suncica Trajkovic, the project manager, said for Gracanica Municipality portal: "Dilapidated water pipes have been changed but the poor weather conditions have further complicated the work on the organization of this part of Gracanica. Minor repairs around water supply system have remained and as soon as weather conditions permit, our team will be ready to complete unfinished work."
Street, which connects Padaliste with Gracanica’s main street, is 700 meters long, and according to the project, except asphalting, the footpath will be constructed on one side and parking space on the other.
Although it is currently difficult to move through this street, the inhabitants of this part of Gracanica are grateful to the local self-government for finding a way to reconstruct the street, where the holes and raw sewage created major problems to drivers as well as the pedestrians.
The cost of the project is EUR165.500, and investors are the Ministry of Administration and of Local Self-Government and the Municipality of Gracanica. Sanitation of the street is part of a memorandum signed by Mayor Branimir Stojanovic and Minister Slobodan Petrovic.
The arrangement of center in Gracanica and the construction of the park in Laplje Selo have been provided by the memorandum.
As it was said from the municipal department of Urbanism, the works on asphalting of Padaliste street in Gracanica will be continued soon after the completion of the reconstruction of water supply system in this part of Gracanica.
