How far did the project of urbanization of Gračanica advance and the continuation of cooperation with the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana is the main reason for today’s visit of the students of that faculty to the Municipality of Gračanica.
Mayor of Gračanica municipality, Srđan Popović received the students and talked with them about the current and future cooperation. The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Municipal Assembly of Gračanica, Ljubiša Karadžić, Director of Urbanism, Dejan Jovanović and municipal architects.
The students of the Faculty of Architecture and students of architecture from Kosovska Mitrovica, worked on the project of Gračanica’s Urbanization together with their professors last year.
By today’s visit, the students from Slovenia wanted to find out how far the project advanced, but also to discuss the extension of cooperation with the faculty in Ljubljana.
Projects that will be implemented this year, which are the result of last year’s cooperation on the project “Urbanization of Gračanica, were presented to the students from Slovenia”.
The most important project is the construction of new primary roads in Gračanica, creation of project and technical documentation for the construction of a bypass around Gračanica and the construction of a new social housing building in Gračanica.
According to the Urbanism Director of the Municipality of Gračanica, Dejan Jovanović, the students and professors from the Faculty of Architecture from Ljubljana are interested in continuing the cooperation on the project regarding the urbanization of Gračanica itself.
