In order to develop beekeeping, the Municipality of Gračanica donated hives to members of the Beekeeping Association “Pčelica” from Donja Gušterica.
The hives were handed over today in the Farmers’ Cooperative in Donja Gušterica by the Mayor of Gračanica municipality, Srđan Popović. In total, 32 hives were distributed for the same number of beekeepers, the members of Beekeeping Association “Pčelica” from Donja Gušterica.
“We recognized the importance of beekeeping, and that’s why we helped the beekeepers in this way”, Popović said.
Representatives of the Association “Pčelica” thanked the Municipality of Gračanica for the allocation of hives, stressing that they would expand their apiaries.
This is not the first time that the Municipality of Gračanica donated hives to beekeepers. At the end of 2017, the beekeepers received five hives and accompanying equipment in order to develop beekeeping and honey production.
