Holding the second extraordinary session of the MA of Gračanica

The second extraordinary session of the Municipal Assembly was held in the hall of the Municipal Assembly of Gračanica. With the extensive consideration and exchange of views, the aldermen adopted all the proposed items on agenda

The session was opened by Chairperson, Ljubiša Karadžić, and the aldermen first adopted the minutes of the fourth regular session held on May 20, 2019. The session was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Gračanica municipality, Saša Danić, who answered the questions asked.

Draft decision on granting subsidies to non-governmental organizations in the field of culture, youth and sports was discussed and adopted at the proposal of Srđan Popović, Mayor of Gračanica municipality. Explaining the proposal, Officer Danica Aritonović said that the commission had a difficult job, but it was done in the most professional way, noting that significant funds were allocated to organizations from minority communities. She said that the commission had accessed all applications substantially and made the decision to grant funds for 38 projects.

Draft decision on granting subsidies to the non-governmental organization Center for Peace and Tolerance was discussed at the session of the MA, at the proposal of Srđan Popović, Mayor of Gračanica municipality. The proposal was explained by Officer Siniša Šubarić. He explained that this was an internship program for graduated students, all with the aim of helping young people in future employment.

The aldermen also agreed with the draft decision on determining the purpose of part of the plot for the extension of the Roma graveyard in Novi Badovac, at the proposal of Srđan Popović, Mayor of Gračanica municipality. Milaim Eminović, the Chairman of the Communities Committee, who pointed out that the long-standing problem of the lack of graves had been solved in that way, thanked on behalf of the Roma community. He added that he expected the problem with the cemeteries to be resolved in other places as well.

Ljubiša Karadžić, Chairman of the MA of Gračanica and Dejan Todorović, Head of the Procurement Office, informed aldermen about the implementation of the annual Public Procurement Plan for 2018, pointing out that more than 99% of the planned projects were implemented.

In the continuation of the meeting, a three-member Commission for Considering Applications for Exemption from Payment of Immovable Property Tax was formed.

Under AOB, the aldermen asked for information on when mosquito dusting and cleaning the landfill between Ugljare and Preoce will start, and were also interested in how far the revision of the allocated apartments went, as well as when the beginning of the construction of a residential building in Gračanica was planned.
