Mayor of Gračanica municipality, Srđan Popović received citizens of the local self-government today in order to try to help them in solving their problems.
Popović talked with about a dozen citizens today, who familiarized him with various problems facing them daily.
“We have introduced the practice of talking with citizens to better understand their problems, to hear suggestions and advice, but the biggest reason is that a lot of people need any help”, Popović said.
According to him, most of the problems are those related to finding a job, solving residential issues and other social problems. Citizens sought help in building materials for the reconstruction of living space, and there were also those who were looking for assistance in the procurement of agricultural machines.
Mayor of Gračanica municipality will continue to provide help to the residents, and the next reception is scheduled for next Thursday. According to Popović, the practice of receiving and talking with citizens will continue because “in this way, the local self-government shows its primary function, which is that it is a service of the residents”.
