Elementary and secondary schools have received interactive whiteboards of the latest generation, which, in addition to the classical use, can be used for multimedia contents. The whiteboards can be connected to a projector or digital teaching and additional electronic materials. The total of 10 interactive whiteboards, 26 desktop computers and six projectors were shared.
Director of the Department of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Dragan Dimitrijevic said that this type of donation will contribute to the technical equipping of school facilities, develop and improve the educational system and teaching, and the kids will adopt new skills and develop creativity in a funny way.
Directors of elementary and secondary schools thanked the representatives of Gracanica Municipality on these gifts, which, as they noted, will facilitate and improve teaching.
Besides the interactive whiteboards and IT equipment, schools have got basketballs, footballs, handballs and volleyballs, and a few of them have got the equipment and table-tennis tables, as well as basketball hoops and backboards.
On today’s donation delivery, the nine most successful students in 2013, the participants in Republican competition received the tablet computers.
"This gift means a lot to me, especially because it shows that our municipality thinks of us. This is another incentive for us to get ahead in education," said Stefan Jovanovic, a student of Gymnasium, which took part in the last year’s republican history competition.
Medical schools received items for practical classes
Department of Health and Social Welfare of Gracanica Municipality donated items to medical school which will help teachers and students of the Medical School in performing the practical classes.
The school received the doll model showing the human body with the muscles and internal organs, two models of the heart, a model of the skull, scale, stethoscopes, thermometers and a sphygmomanometer.
Department of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports donated interactive whiteboard, computers and projectors to schools in the Municipality of Gracanica. The tablet computers were assigned to last year’s most successful students.
