The tournament, which was held 28.09.2014., was attended by 17 competitors of karate club "Senshi".
Of 274 competitors who had participated in the competition, from 27 teams from around the country, karate club "Senshi" was awarded the trophy (1st place in the overall standings) for the greatest number of medals: 5 gold medals, won by Igor Karadzic in katas in the category of youth, Jelena Todorovic in katas in category of youth, Stefan Ristic – katas in the category 2003-2004/ second level, Jovan Denic – katas 2003-2004/ first level, Magdalena Mitic – katas 2007 and younger; 3 silver medals, won by Aleksandar Karadzic – katas in the category of cadets, aetatis 1999, Ana Jovanovic – katas, aetatis 2002-2001, Bojan Panovic – fighting in the category of youth; 8 bronze medals, won by Igor Karadzic – fighting in the category of youth, Stefan Perenic – katas in the category of cadets, aetatis 1999 – second level, Maja Djokic – katas in the category of cadets, aetatis1999, second level, Isidora Stojanovic – katas in the category 2006-2005 – first level, Aleksa Ristic – katas in the category 2003-2004 – first level, Veljko Lazic – katas in the category 2002-2001- second level, Nikola Mitic – katas in the category 2003-2004 – second level, and Andjela Petkovic – katas in the category 2001-2002 – second level; the fifth place in the category of katas, aetatis 2001, took Vuk Todorovic.
Coach of karate club "Senshi", Milan Rasic thanked the Municipality of Gracanica for the help, which this time provided the transportation for departure to the competition.
On behalf of the club, coach Rasic thanked the President of the interim authority of the Muicipality of Pristina Ljubinko Karadzic on the support in previous work, thanks to whom, as he said, the karate club functions extraordinarily.
The Municipality of Gracanica helped recently the departure of karateists from Laplje Selo to a three-day seminar on Rudnik mountain in early September, which was attended by dozens of karate clubs in the country, region and many European countries. Professors Vladimir and Ilija Jorga, the presidents of FUDOKAN World Karate Association, tried to upgrade young karateists’s knowledge about this martial art.
Karate club "Senshi" has been once again rewarded for the effort, work, order and discipline at the tournament, which was held in Leskovac (IV Usnsu open).
