The Municipality of Gračanica donated a water tank and a water pressure booster pump to the nursery school in Dobrotin today, by which the problem of water supply of this educational institution, which is attended by about 30 children, has been solved in the long run.
Mayor of Gračanica muncipality, Srđan Popović, and Director of the Municipal Department of Education, Brankica Nićić, handed over a water tank and a water pressure booster pump to the nursery school in Dobrotin today, which functions as an outpost of the preschool institution “Sunce”, and by which the problem of water supply has been solved after the last year’s floods in this village completely destroyed the existing water pressure booster pump.
During his visit to the nursery school, Mayor Popović stated that all the citizens of Dobrotin were faced with the problem of water supplying and the municipality had solved this problem in the nursery for a long time with this help.
“This was one of the major problems this institution was faced with. Last year we managed to get a new boiler for the nursery school in Dobrotin before the beginning of the heating season and thus solve the problem with heating. And now at the beginning of the year we managed to solve the problem of water supply. We used this visit to discuss future plans with the director. We agreed to equip a new kitchen as soon as possible”, Popović said.
Director of the Municipal Department of Education, Brankica Nićić, said on that occasion that in this part of Gračanica municipality there were a large number of preschoolers and children in smaller educational groups.
“It is therefore necessary to create here the best conditions for work and the normal stay of children in this institution. There are 30 children from the total of 150 in the preschool institution “Sunce” in six outposts staying here”, said Nićić.
Director of the Preschool Institution “Sunce”, Dragan Mitić thanked the Municipality of Gračanica for the help by which, as he pointed out, another big problem after heating the employees and children were faced with for a longer period of time was solved, and that was water supply.
