Stojanovic visited "Saint Sava" elementary school in Susica where beside the pupils from the elementary school classes attend the students of secondary electro-technical school "Miladin Popovic", and “Duke Lazar” elementary school in Gornja Gusterica.
The Mayor welcomed the youngest pupils, wishing them a happy and successful start and promised that the local self-government will do everything to provide them with the conditions for the work and development.
After visiting the elementary school" Sveti Sava", Stojanovic said: "We did a lot and certainly there are still a lot of work. We still have a lot to do and our commitment to take care of our schools must be permanent, never to be satisfied with the conditions in our schools. We have golden children and thus we have to create such conditions for them that they can normally develop, grow and be better people than us, "said Stojanovic.
The Director of the elementary school "Sveti Sava" in Susica Bratislav Denic thanked the mayor Stojanovic for visiting and for the improved working conditions of the school. The toilets and sewerage and water supply networks were completely sanitized in this school, interior doors and wiring replaced, interior walls painted, two new classrooms upgraded and gutters replaced.
The Mayor, with his closest associates, then visited the elementary school "Duke Lazar" in Gornja Gusterica, which was also renovated by the funds from the municipality of Gracanica, and talked with local students and educators.
Gracanica Municipality used the summer break for the reconstruction of several schools, and all the works on the sanitation have been almost completed, by which the conditions for the new school year have been accomplished. About 450 first graders from the territory of central Kosovo have been enrolled in the school year 2014/2015.
We are solving the problem of transport
Speaking on the recently occurred problem with transportation of students, the mayor Stojanovic said that he would do everything to solve the problem in the shortest possible time.
Mayor Stojanovic said: "I did everything I could and I expect that this situation will be resolved very soon, that the buses will be registered and function normally. It is sad that we even got into this situation, but sometimes a lack of good will of those who make decisions about that, and in this case it was the police, lead to this situation."
On the first day of school, the mayor Branimir Stojanovic visited a few objects that were renovated from the budgetary resources of Gracanica municipality. We’ll solve the problem with transportation, he said.
