Although it does not belong to the cadaster of the Municipality of Gračanica, the access to the Orthodox cemetery in Čaglavica was cleared of construction waste thanks to the intervention of the relevant departments of the Municipality of Gračanica, the Inspection and Public Service Department primarily, so the believers could approach the cemetery on Saturday and lit candles to the dead on All-Souls’ Day.
The access to the Orthodox cemetery in Čaglavica was almost completely blocked last week before All-Souls’ Day since there was a scrap of construction material at the entrance gate and around it. The access to the cemetery has been cleared thanks to the urgent intervention and advocacy of the Municipality of Gračanica through the Municipality of Priština, under which jurisdiction is this cadastral plot. Part of the waste was taken off by trucks and part of it was moved to the right so that the cemetery could be freed. The works on clearing the cemetery were carried out by the employees of the Department of Public Service of the Municipality of Priština.
“After we received information last Thursday that the approach to the cemetery in Čaglavica was almost completely closed, we contacted all competent institutions in Priština to solve the problem right away on Friday and to allow people to reach the cemetery. Everything was completed right on Friday, and on this occasion, I would like to thank the authorities of the Municipality of Priština, who understood the urgency and importance of solving the problem”

Vladica Trajković, Director of the Municipal Department of Public Service, attended on Friday the clearing of the site until the completion of the works in order to get ensured on the spot that everything was done as promised. Deputy Mayor of Gračanica municipality, Saša Danić also talked about this event with the authorities in Priština municipality. The Orthodox cemetery in Čaglavica is located on the right side of the arterial road from Priština, and after the decentralization process and the formation of the municipality of Gračanica, that part of Čaglavica is attached to cadaster of the municipality of Priština.
