A journalist of this television talked with Jovanovic about the problem of wastewaters on the territory of Gracanica municipality, which is most expressed in the course of Gracanka river through Preoce. He pointed out that the municipality is aware of the problem and working to resolve it.
Jovanovic said: "The biggest problem about wastewaters comes from the villages Ajvalija and Caglavica, which quickly spread and which are not adequately connected to the sewer system. Relating to this problem, we are in constant contact with representatives of the municipality of Pristina, since these places belong to the local government. A bigger part of the budget funds for next year the municipality of Gracanica has predicted precisely for the problem of wastewaters, for their treatment and collection, since they are flowing into the riverbeds, and then in agricultural lands and villages."
After conversation with the Director of Environmental Protection, TV "Most" crew talked to the Director of the Department of Health and Social Welfare Ivica Micic about geronto-housewives, a service that has been operating for two months in the municipality of Gracanica. According to the director of the Department of Health, it turned out that this service was more than necessary.
Micic said: "Our geronto-housewives, formed from medical and non-medical staff, every day visit the elderly in the municipality of Gracanica in order to provide them with the necessary help, whether it is just a conversation or everyday tasks at home and household, or going to the doctor. We, as well as our clients who are about twenty, are more than satisfied with the results achieved."
